There’s something truly beautiful about Black love, and it deserves to be captured with love and care. All too often, our stories are shown as loud or full of drama. What about the gentle moments? The forehead kisses, the quiet exchanges, the comfort shared? That’s the side I love to focus on. When I photograph Black love, I do it with intention and heart. My goal is for every couple to feel seen, safe, and truly celebrated.

Representation Matters

I’ll never forget how challenging it was to find wedding inspiration that truly reflected people who looked like me. So much of what I saw didn’t quite capture our skin tones, our joy, our genuine moments, or our energy. It often felt like we were missing from the “soft and romantic” stories that tend to dominate.

That’s a big part of why I do what I do. When Black couples step in front of my camera, I don’t just see a couple. I see individuals who deserve to take up space and be completely themselves. I’m thinking about the legacy behind these photos, not just how they look, but how they make you feel.

It’s Not Just Posing, It’s Storytelling

Yeah, I pay attention to the lighting, the angles, the location. Those details matter. What I care about most is the way the photos make you feel. Every couple has their own unique vibe. Some are bubbly and fun, others are more reserved. Some are all about romance and touching moments. Whatever your style is, I’ll match that. My goal isn’t to make you do something that doesn’t feel natural or true to you.

This isn’t about copying stuff you’ve seen online. It’s about capturing real moments that truly showcase your connection and personality.

Let Black Couples Be Soft

There’s something truly beautiful about witnessing Black men being gentle and caring for Black women. It’s not always shown in mainstream wedding media, but it’s such an important part of love that deserves to be celebrated and shared.

That softness is so meaningful. I will always be here to create space for it.

This Is Bigger Than a Gallery

When a couple tells me their photos truly feel like them, I know I’ve done my job right. I’m not just about capturing pretty pictures. I’m here to tell meaningful stories. To document love that’s deep, genuine, and built on care.

That’s what this work is all about, and I feel so grateful to be part of it.
